Montaż Film Festiwal is an international festival of short-length and medium-length films. The festival bases on the Main Competition, during which the participating editors are awarded in four different categories: fiction, documentary, music video and trailer.

Montaż Film Festiwal takes its place in Poland – city of Lodz which is known from its film traditions. MFF is an event full of workshops, meetings and case studies with professional film makers.

We seek to maintain an opinion among filmmakers that film editing is, as Orson Welles once said:

“The image itself is not enough- it’s incredibly important, but it’s just an image. The duration of each image on the screen and what happens afterwards is crucial. The whole storytelling process and message are both created in the editing studio.”

Montaż Film Festival is financed by the budget of the Łódź City.
